ONTARIO, N.Y. – Aug. 10, 2012 – Constellation Energy Nuclear Group’s (CENG) R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant will test five public notification system sirens during the month of August. The tests will occur at the following times and locations:
- August 14 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (1349 Jackson Road, Webster, NY)
- August 16 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (1286 Lake Road, Webster, NY)
- August 21 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (5800 Walworth-Ontario Road, Ontario, NY)
- August 30 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (2200 Lake Road, Ontario, NY)
- August 30 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (1519 Lake Road, Ontario, NY)
The sirens at these locations are being tested in accordance with CENG’s comprehensive maintenance of the public notification system. All sirens in the notification system are tested regularly to ensure public safety.
